The Pitman arm, also called connecting rod, is the link between the steering unit and the wheels : it transforms the angular motion of the wheel in a linear motion which will make the wheels rotate.

A defective pitman arm will lead to steering issues on the Suzuki or Santana Jimny, such as a bad vehicle handling.
